Sacred Riding: My Harley Prayer Time

My husband and I own a Harley.  We love our Harley.  It’s a rich deep blue Ultra Classic that we bought almost two years ago.  Prior to that we had a Sportster for ten years.  I guess it would be more honest to say that Rich had a Sportster and I would ride it occasionally.  But in late 2006, as he approached a major deployment starting in 2007, Rich decided to sell his beloved Sportster and order the Ultra Classic for when he returned.

Poetry: Sharing My Love of Sardinia

 

I lived from early 1969 to late 1978 on the island of Sardinia which is located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.  Sardinia is a very unique and beautiful place with glorious white beaches, incredibly clear, translucent, turquoise waters, moonscape mountains, and low lying rocks of multi-colored hues.

The Caged Muse: On Vacation

I have been away, halfway round the world.  I left behind my laptop and gave myself completely to “il dolce far niente” – the sweet doing of nothing.  It was a family vacation in that we spent all our time with members of the far-flung family, first in England then in Italy.  We had two weddings to celebrate: a niece in West Yorkshire and and my youngest son in Aviano, northern Italy.
